In 1974, my step-father purchased this 1946 Willys CJ2A from a government auction for $300ish dollars. He told me it belonged to the US Forestry service. It sat outside for about 40 years up in the Antelope Valley in my Mom’s back yards.
I got it running by just rebuilding the carburetor and getting a 6v battery. Sure it had no brakes yet, but was still fun! Check out the first startup in 40 years video.
